Spring Time Snaps

Yesterday, my friends and I took advantage of the warm weather. It was a nice 80°F or 27°C. We couldn't resist taking a few photos in my backyard.

How is the weather where you're from?

New Beginnings: Moving to a New House

On Friday my family and I are officially moving to our new place. I am so excited! I haven't finished packing my stuff yet... so that's a problem. Anyway, I am really looking forward to creating new memories with my family at our new home. My parents also hinted that we might get a pet dog at our new place, and I hope they still want to. I really want a house pet. I feel like having a pet will somehow help me with my anxiety. My anxiety is not that bad compared to most of the anxiety stories I have read. But I do have some anxiety attacks every now and then. Especially when I'm in an environment where I don't know anybody or if I'm just not comfortable in it.

Going back to the topic of moving... From a previous blog post, I shared my "Roomspiration" or my room inspiration. I will keep my promise of posting room decoration updates. I do want to hear some feedback and decorating suggestions from people. I am not an expert with decorating, but I try. I do watch a lot of HGTV shows like Property Brothers, Love it or List it, Buying and Selling. Those shows are so good. I love watching how they transform regular looking houses into spaces that looks amazing. I am hoping that I can pull ideas from those TV shows into decorating our new house.

Spring break has come to an end, and I am now back in the regular school flow. I have been so stressed with school right now just because I have to read 7 chapters of Frankenstein by tomorrow and I have a yearbook page that is due by the end of this week. Now that I am going to be busy with school related activities again, I am still going to try to post new content on my blog regularly. (I feel like this blog post is very "cluttered" since I'm writing this at 4 in the afternoon right after school. I'm really tired but I really wanted to post something on here. So sorry if my writing is bad.)

I hope you had an awesome Tuesday! Also, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Life Update No3: Winning State and Spring Break

On February 28, my school's German club competed at the Texas State German Contest after winning first place at Houstonfest. It was my first time competing at a contest so I was very nervous at first. I participated in the contemporary music event (I played the guitar) and a level 2 prose reading event. Both events placed first at regionals.

A weekend with my friends at the state competition was a lot of fun! Although, for the most part of the trip, we were all freezing our butts off. It was so cold in San Marcos. But at the end of the contest, my school placed first place out of all the schools that participated. I also placed first in my prose piece, and my band placed first as well. I was so proud of myself for achieving something that I actually worked hard on. I really didn't expect that I was going to win. Anyway, I thank my German teacher for encouraging me and pushing me out of my comfort zone. Also for my friends for being supportive.

The week after the German contest was the longest week of school! I was expecting it to be so easy because it was the last week of school before spring break... But no. I had tests everyday. It was not fun at all. But last Wednesday, I finally picked up my graduation cap and gown. It made me realize that senior year is coming to an end pretty soon. I can't believe that I'm finally graduating high school in less than 3 months!

So today is my second day of spring break. I am not going anywhere special this year. This week, I'm going to be slowly packing my bedroom into boxes since we're moving to our new house by the end of the month!

How are you spending your spring break?
