Life Update No4: My First Few Weeks of College

The beginning of something can bring a lot of pressure and stress upon anybody's shoulders.

The night before my first day of college, I had a hard time forcing myself to sleep. My anxiety was through the roof! I kept thinking about all the things that could go wrong instead of the amazing things that could happen. Okay, fast forward to the morning of my first class...
I arrived at the campus a bit early. As I walked towards the building, I felt my knees shaking. I had absolutely no idea what to expect in college. I felt like a little girl lost in the middle of a huge sea of people that seems to know what they're actually doing. My first classes were great, I met new people and I felt more comfortable with  how the classes would feel like for the rest of the week. It was the usual: first day syllabus day. On Tuesday, I only had one class in the afternoon and it was canceled that day. It was funny though, because I got ready, ran in the rain when I thought I was running late, and when I got there, the class was canceled.

The first few weeks of college made me feel so responsible and mature. Now I have a bunch of projects, papers, and tests. My planner is filled with deadlines and I am really feeling the pressure. But what I learned from the past weeks, I really have to be independent. I can only rely on myself from now on. It's really scary, but that is what life is all about.

How was you first few weeks back at school?
