Life Update No5: Test Anxiety

Last week felt so long and it felt like torture to me. I had so much work to do and I felt really stressed after my last blog post.

In the past week, I wrote essays, took tests, made a major art project, and attended a few college events. It doesn't seem like a lot but it felt like the world was going against me. I sound overdramatic but it's true. One can say I'm the type of person who worries and stresses a lot especially when it comes to important matters. I guess it's because I am such a perfectionist. I just can't stand it when I don't feel 100% about the work I have produced. So before I do anything I overthink it a lot.

However, today marked the end of the past week's torture since I have passed the higher math placement test that I had been dreading for a long time. I actually put off studying for the placement test until the night before. I tend to put off studying since it's hard for me to focus when I am studying for the major test. (I do not encourage procrastinating for tests! It's just that I have really bad test anxiety.) All I would think about are back up plans to do if ever I fail. The SATs, ACTs, or any major placement/achievement tests freaks me out! The test determines your standing, and I just hate the idea that a number determines your abilities. Anyway, I am really happy with the results I got from the test, since I am going to save money towards my classes.

(Also, I can't believe this term is almost over! My finals is in a month!)

Today was such a good day.
How was yours?
M.
