June Favorites

I was going to say how fast June went but I know everybody says that.
It's July and I thought I would share a few beauty and random items I enjoyed during the warm months of June.
I don't think I've done a favorites post before so... here we go!

well wow this photo is huge.
1. Essie nail polish in "flowerista"

  • I like how this nail polish is super easy to apply and it's really creamy and opaque. I think this shade is from last year's spring collection (I'm not really sure), but I'm just obsessed with it. So vibrant and bold. I think I wore this nail polish for two weeks straight last month. I really like it. (It dries really fast too! Bonus!!!)

2. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in "Bow N Arrow"

  • This shade is super hard to get in stores! I had to order mine through Sephora online! I understand the hype though. This is the most comfortable matte liquid lipstick ever. It's not that drying and the lasting power is amazing. This is the first shade I purchased from the line and I am looking forward to buying more. I definitely want a bold red and a brick red shade!

3. Carla Bruni
  • Okay, I don't understand French.... But there's something about Carla Bruni's songs. They make me feel happy and relaxed. Some of my favorite songs by her are Quelu'un M'a Dit and Prière. You should definitely give them a listen!

4. Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
In the year 2044, reality is an ugly place. The only time teenage Wade Watts really feels alive is when he's jacked into the virtual utopia known as the  OASIS. Wade's devoted his life to studying the puzzles hidden within this world's digital confines, puzzles that are based on their creator's obsession with the pop culture of decades past and that promise massive power and fortune to whoever can unlock them. When Wade stumbles upon the first clue, he finds himself beset by players willing to kill to take this ultimate prize. The race is on, and if Wade's going to survive, he'll have to win—and confront the real world he's always been so desperate to escape. (Goodreads)
This is one of the two books I read last month (I was in a reading slump...). It was amazing! Very different from books I normally read. If you love the 80's I think you'll like it. Also, you don't have to be in to video games to enjoy this book. I'm not in to video games and I LOVED it. It was like a wild and fun rollercoaster ride!

What are some of your June favorites? I would love to know! :-)
